No Man's Land by Nilesh Shrivastava : A Review
Review

Reading
No Man’s Land was a fine experience. The book is a about the land
which Agastya
and Shashwat tries to protect from various hawk eyes who wish to buy it by hook
or crook and turn it into another centre for commercial activities. But they
don’t want to sell it. The book travels across past and present generation.
This book is totally
a character driven and those characters lead the story. Every character is well
developed as it comes lives in front of your eyes. If this book was written on
plot basis, then it would not have been this much effective. Characterization
is the USP of this book. Nilesh Shrivastava has done a
fantastic job as a debut author and he is someone to be watch out for. His
writing style is mature and crisp. He writes from perspective of real
grown-ups. He lived up my expectations.
Cover page is perfect
and eye catching. It goes very well with the back
blurb and the story. The back blurb is perfectly written and gave an impression
to readers and intimates them to pick the book. Story is well
knitted. He must’ve did some research before writing this novel, and his
hard-work can be seen throughout the book. There are so many
unexpected twist and turns, which makes the book very interesting.
No
man’s land has a racy plot that will make you sit straight and will force you
to finish the book in one go.
I
loved the book. This is simply one of those few books that I will treasure
always. Some
of the quotes are specifically touching and the interesting. This is the book I
would love to recommend to everyone out here. I would like to rate it 4.5 out
of 5. You will be hooked to this book from the beginning and at times you would
close it and think what I just read. It surely worth a read.
