In Search Of the Inner Self - an article by Sumit Keshan

We all daily come across a lot of things in life, things around us, things which are good, bad, kind, cruel, right & wrong. We do share about the happiness, the good deeds, the kind gestures but how often we raise a voice for the bad, the wrong & the cruelty that’s happening every moment around us, how often we bring that before the eyes & ears of people, often we play the role of the mute spectator thinking that we are the common people and what role we can play in the happenings around us that are not related to us, but we forget the very fact that today it’s not related but tomorrow it’s gonna because the cycle of life is round today you are not in its path but tomorrow you will be, so why not stop the evil, the bad, the cruel, and the wrong deeds that we are witnessed to, why not adopt a selfless attitude and wash out the settled thought that if it’s not related to us why do we care!! Well we have to care, we will care from now onward, why let the suffering prevail as we know already that somewhere down the line even our lives will be involved.

Many a time we just get too emotional and speak out in a fit of rage forgetting that it’s the words that do a big harm rather than the acts itself, we should be careful in the choice of words whenever we talk, often we use slang while talking and that involves the mention of the persons associated with us and others, we fight over petty issues, we fight even knowing well that we are wrong, we drag others in our personal fights are we coward enough to fight for our self without dragging in others, is fighting, torturing , demoralizing,    harming,    criticizing, assaulting, looting, murdering others is our main motto of life, the true motto, the real fight is the fight for others, fight for a social cause, fight for the weak, fight for the dependent, fight for the innocence, fight for justice, fight for peace.

Fight is not only the fight using our fists, using weapons but could be by the use of right words, knowledge, good deeds, good behavior, a nice attitude towards life and towards others. People will say that it’s all about fate but I would like to add that “fate decides that there will be certain things in store for you but it’s your karma that will decide that whether those things will be good or bad”. So channelize your energy towards something good, bring a change in yourself, purify your soul, do justice to your sole existence in this life, do justice to the fact that you are human so learn to behave like a one. See the world through the eyes of your soul for you will see the right picture and the right path.

I myself have started a revolution in me and have made a promise to myself that I will be following first the words which I have said and earn the right to be called a human.
Just felt the urge to share my side of feelings with you all, hope you will understand that it’s time we should judge our self rather than being judged by others that where we stand among the human race.
