Twice Upon A Time by Anjali Bhatia : A Review

Twice Upon A Time Book is first book by Anjali Bhatia. And through her book, she has tried to answer many questions.

Is a man's past set in stone, or can it be changed? Rewritten and reshaped? Is time a reality, or a construct of the imagination? Fleeting and fragmented?

One man is about to find out . . .

Meet Arpit, a bitter young man who embarks upon an incredible and seemingly impossible journey to right the seven wrongs that have shadowed his life, all in a quest to be together with Mannat, the love of his life.

Every one of us have done lot of mistakes in past, and all of we do regret decisions taken, and want to rectify them but we can’t. This is the theme of the book, Twice Upon a Time. Arpit Singh is filled with regret and bitterness after he loses the love of his life, Mannat, due to his terrible behaviour. He then wants to rectify the mistakes he had made in that relationship. From here, book seems like a movie playing on TV. It reminded me of Action Replay at places. (Wink) It has total filmy plot. The book is divided in sub-plots which takes all the energy and time to pick the pace of the story all over again. Story is loosely knitted at places. I think author should have worked more on that part. Story telling skills of author are commendable. Author knew what she was writing.

Author has good imagination and has drafted an engaging story in the second half that kept me hooked. The author manages to blend science with fantasy and mystery. The author’s grip is steady throughout the narrative, feeding only those facts that he wants the readers to lap up, and hazing out evident clues that could have made you guess the mystery. Author has done justice with the climax.

Overall book is good read. I would like to rate it 3.5/5. It worth a read.
