"Why I Falied by Shweta Punj" - A Review
On The Jacket –
Fail! And we are stamped for life. Don’t we try and run from failure all our lives? But, ‘spontaneous doing has to go through failures.’ Acknowledging failure is singularly the most difficult thing to do. It takes tremendous courage to come out and say, yes, I failed. Shweta Punj chronicles sixteen such leaders who have celebrated their failure as much as their success. Each story is an anatomy of failure. So whether it was the difference between ‘need’ and ‘want’ that led Abhinav Bindra to miss that winning shot, or whether it was a suicide attempt that pushed Sabyasachi Mukherjee into fully realizing his potential—these stories will prod you to look at failure differently.
Now, Review Time –
“Why I Failed” is a collection of instances from the lives of sixteen leaders who tell us why they failed, what mistakes they made and then what they learned from it. And how much then they struggled to get success and then they finally made it. This is what matters at the end, they made it.
The story which is liked most and can relate to is story told by Abhinav Bindra. It’s truly inspiring and everyone can relate to it. As over a period of time we also have gone through same.
Narration of every story is just awesome. All the story are truly inspiring. I liked the stories told by N. K. Narayanmurthi and Sminu Jindal. They inspired me a lot.
As I was reading all the stories, I could feel Goosebumps. All of us fail at a time. Some surrenders to failures and some rises because they failed. And all the people who told their story come in latter one. They rose. Failure make us build as an individual, as a strong person. And this is what this book teaches us. It removes the shame from failure, and the fear, and asks us to rise because we failed to show the world that we are not loser.
Each story gives you a lesson. Every story builds you as a person. The common thing in all the stories is that they didn’t lose confidence in themselves despite what people and the society thought. They worked hard to get success.
I would like to rate this book 4/5. This is self – help book. This one is truly inspiring. If you’re fed up of love stories, go for it. This stands highly recommended by Read In Park. Don’t miss it.
