Review –

Reading Legacy was a fine experience.  The book is a collection of letter from the eminent parents to their daughter. This is what parents do want to tell their kid(s) but they never do or have enough courage to do it.
The relationship between a parent and a child cannot be explained in words. It is much more than that. Sometimes, we think that the upbringing of children of rich and successful people is far different from that of a common man’s child. Well, Legacy by Sudha Menon successfully breaks this myth.

Every chapter in the book begins with telling the reader about the parent in questions, an achiever and someone the society already looks up to for inspiration. Reading about how the likes of Narayana Murthy, Chanda Kochhar, Kishore Biyani, K.V. Kamath, Sanjeev Kapoor, Jatin Das, Prakash Padukone all who started from humble beginnings but struggled their way up, armed with the values their elders had given them.

I loved the book. This is simply one of those few books that I will treasure always. Some of the letters are specifically touching and the interesting part was, that all these famous parents have one thing common - they are mighty proud of their little girls.

This book is an insight to the above mentioned successful parents, and the values they are imparting their children.
What I liked most about the book is the introduction about the person given at the beginning of each section, his/her achievements and a glimpse about the person’s life.
This is the book I would love to recommend to my family. This is must read book for parents. I would like to rate it 4 out of 5. You will be hooked to this book from the beginning and at times you would close it and think what I just read. It surely worths a read.
