"MBA Is Not About Money, Blazer, Arrogance" by Krishna Kranthi : A Review

Like many, Revant has dreamt of getting that fancy and highly regarded MBA degree. After working hard, finally he gets an admission to one of the top Indian B-schools. His excitement is short lived as the overwhelming pressure and the vague definitions of management boggle him down. He gets frustrated with the people around him who see MBA as a purpose of earning higher salary and getting superior designations and indulging in unneeded arrogance. He thinks this is not what he wanted to learn out of his MBA.

But then, something changes and Revant experiences the true purpose of pursuing an MBA.

An inside story of MBA graduates, the book helps one realize that real purpose of a MBA degree is not confined to money, blazer, arrogance but it is more than that.

MBA Is Not About Money, Blazer, Arrogance is debut book by Krishna Kranthi. First of all I would like to congratulate Krishna for debuting on serious note. Now days when everyone is coming with love stories, Krishna Kranthi came with a book about his MBA life and how life is at B- School. 

Book starts when Revant, the protagonist got admission in SPJIMR, one of the bestest B-School in India. The school is known for its highly qualified faculty, alumni, industry. Revant and his fellow classmates, Mahesh and Pravin, enter upon a new world on the SJIMR campus which took them to roller coaster ride. There he fell in love with a girl. All the scenes are well justified. Characterization is done very well. One find no difficulty in reading book as it is written in good understandable English. I didn’t find much flaws in book. But some grammatical mistakes can be seen. Book becomes little drab in between at places but it pick the pace again very soon. 

MBA Is Not About Money, Blazer, Arrogance is a very practical student resource written to remind students of why they pursue an MBA program. I would like to rate this book 3.5 out of 5. I recommend this book for every individual who does not have any clarity on what MBA is all about. I also picked  the book up to read because I am preparing for CAT. It is more a self-help book for me. This book helped me to have an overview of what to expect about of MBA program and how this learning can help change the society.

If you are looking for something different from chic-lit love stories than you should pick up this book. It worth a read.
