His debut intense romance fiction, Te Amo...I Love You began in 2009, after an extensive research on the Spanish culture, which enchanted him completely. After India, Spain is Rohits favorite country, which can be easily attributed to his passion towards the Barcelona FC.

Read In Park congratulates you on the success of your Debut Novel “Te Amo… I Love You”. We will love to have a round of question answer with you, which can help upcoming bright writers in the Field.

From Engineer to Author, these days it is a common trade would you like to comment on this?

Thank you so much for the kind words. The book is not a Bestseller yet, and I am not running after this tag, honestly. J Well, I don’t think that ‘From Engineer to Author’ is a common trade, it is just more people are getting into the field of writing. They are from varied occupations. I personally do not feel any connection between an Engineer and an Author. It is completely on someone’s passion and love for writing.

Well we would like to know about your promotional strategy. Within 10 days your first book is under 2nd print.

Marketing has become one of the most important aspects of almost everything today, not just books. I am a newcomer in this field. I simply followed other writers, and created my Facebook group. It helped me in reaching out maximum people. Social networking sites have become a medium of marketing these days. But, I would like to thank the admins and members of my facebook group for helping me so selflessly.

 Tell us something about yourself?

I am a Senior Software Engineer by profession, and a writer by hobby-turned-passion. I was born in Amritsar, but staying in Faridabad, with my parents and sister, for a long time now. I am an avid reader, and I idolise Sidney Sheldon and Nicholas Sparks. I wanted to be a choreographer, but destiny turned me into an engineer J.

To whom you would like to dedicate your Book and Success?

I have dedicated my book to every woman who has sacrificed herself selflessly... to every man, who has loved and supported her woman in good and bad times... and to anyone who has fallen in true love.
I dedicate the little bit success I am getting to all the readers. I sincerely thank them for their love and support.

What more can reader expect from you as a Author? (More love stories or some Suspense thriller).

Romance is an integral part of my writing. But, I would love to try a Crime Thriller or a Suspense Thriller. Whatever I will try, Romance will be there in my books.

You are really famous among your fans and friends, how you feel ?

It’s overwhelming, and at the same time, it is a huge responsibility. Somehow, people have forgotten that I am a debut author, and they have a lot many expectations from my debut book. I have tried. Let’s see, if they like it or not. Till now, the majority is liking it and I am very thankful to everyone.

Your favourite Books?

Bloodline, The Doomsday Conspiracy and Tell me Your Dreams by Sheldon. The Notebook and Walk to Remember by Sparks. ‘Te Amo... I LOVE YOU’ by myself (I am biased, I know).

Your favourite Foreign and Indian Author?

Favorite Foreign Author – Sparks and Sheldon.
Favorite Indian Author  - Amitav Ghosh and Ashwin Sanghi.

How long did it take you to complete writing the book?

The complete process, from start to end, has taken 3.5 years, which includes 6 months of research work.

Its always interesting to ask love story author’s What Is Love. So, how will you define Love?

Love is a beautiful, honest and selfless bonding. It is the bonding between parents and children, bonding between brother and sister, bonding among friends, and bonding between soulmates.

How difficult it was for you to find publisher? Can you share your experience with the publisher?

It was a long and a tough struggle, but tougher the struggle, sweeter the success. My experience with Mahaveer Publisher is very satisfying. They are very co-operative and supportive.

Last but not the least, sum-up your book in 5 – 10 words?

It’s a story of passionate love, honest friendships and ruthless animosity.

Ending here, few lines for Upcoming authors?

These days writers are focussing more on getting the best seller tag, which I personally feel is not genuine in most of the cases. That’s why I said, my book is not a best seller yet. We, writers, should focus on scripting a fantastic story. If the book is good, and it is distributed well, it will sell. Secondly, try to come out of your comfort zone. Write about something which you have never experienced in life. This is the essence of a fiction. It will be tough. It will be challenging. It will require a lot of research work. But, it will be a great learning, and, trust me, it will result in a good story. Best wishes to all.

Thank you Rohit for the interview May your book reach every corner of the country and touch Hearts.

Thank You.
