In conversation with author Nisha B Thakur

Nisha lives in Navi Mumbai with her family. After completing her post graduation in Communication Management she worked as a copywriter with the reputed ad agency from Mumbai. Following years of adding work experience now she works as a freelance copywriter cum screenwriter.  Nisha loves to write poems. Apart from writing she also enjoys cooking, reading novels, watching cinema and surfing the TV.  ‘First You Plz’ is Nisha’s debut novel.

In conversation with Alka Shrivastava, Nisha reveals  about her book, life and experiences with the pen.

  

Congratulations Nisha for transforming your dreams in shape of Debut   “First you plz”. Tell  us briefly the story for our readers.

Many thanks for your wishes. First You Plz is a story of an immature girl Avanti and how she deals with various anxieties of her first love. This book explores first love, immaturity, college days and friendship bonding of female friends.

Protagonist Avanti is a Girl of her own dreams. Is it totally fictitious or real character you ever met.

Avanti is a fictitious character. She is too innocent and immature to be true and am sure readers would find her innocence and immaturity very hilarious and worth reading. 

What inspired you to write the story?

The fact that youngsters in love wait for the opposite sex to propose. They wish and desire the other person to say first..they keep thinking first you plz.. 

Any particular book which influence your life?

There are several books naming one is tough.

Would you share your experiences with publishers?

Publishers were very helpful and supportive throughout the journey. 

What kind of reviews you received from the readers?

They told that all are lovable characters .Many are liking my book.

How did it take you to complete the story?

I took a year to complete the story, writing boy’s feeling was difficult as I have never seen a boy love a girl truly, also writing climax was very tough.

What is the message you wanted to spread through this book?

Message through my book would be- Miss- communication, under communication and over communication is very injurious to health of a relationship and to find how, one will have to read my book.

A lot of romantic fictions have flooded over the market these days. How do you see your book in such phenomenon?

I take this phenomenon very positively as romantic fiction work is well accepted and every story has a right to be heard. I wish all my fellow romantic fiction writers all the very best and hope we all do well with our stories. 

What are your long term plans in litrary field? Are you working on your second book?

Yes , I am already Working on my second book .
