In a conversation with Alka shrivastava, Sasiprabha speaks about herself, her life and her experiences in the literary field.

Congratulations on the release of your debut novel 'My Moonlit Pilgrimage'. How you feeling?

Thank you so much ! :) How I am feeling exactly is something hard to explain.......Holding my book in hands for the first time, I stood emotionless for a while...It was my rebirth exactly....! Life changed a lot in a very positive manner.

Tell us briefly about the story.

'My Moonlit Pilgrimage' is all about love, presented in a unique manner....It is a young girl's quest through the moments of her love, in an attempt to discover its true meaning....Her unveiled memories are talking to the man with whom she was in love...The story evolves through every subtle details of the evolution of their togetherness and so, obviously, it is intensely emotional.....

What motivates you to write this particular story ?

It was quite accidental...Even on the day I started writing it, I had never even thought of getting published......But it happened very naturally when I tried to get behind the words I thought, the things I felt and the emotions I witnessed and passed through.......Writing whatever came to my mind as such was my peace when looking from another direction than the usual one......

It is a story of journey of a girl redefining love and her quest and struggle towards paradox of love and mankind. Is it totally fictitious character ?

Fiction is not something which has no relation with reality.....Fiction that justifies the reality is deeply related to the society of its time....It is a mirror that reflects the author's experience and observation....Even the fiction that seems to be written out of wild imagination too can be related to reality someday, I believe, because each and everything around us, from the ball point pen to the electricity  were  wild imaginations once...My book too reflects my experience and observation 'beautified' with imagination...

According to you, which emotion universally have bounded the society, mankind and universe since years ?

Of course, 'love' is the core of all that is constructive ; peace, respect, compassion, hope, joy, tranquility, serenity and all....! Every time you embrace nature or smile at the world, you are love....! Every time you give with grace, you are love...!! The broken heart, the ache, all are the signs of a being who deeply love and care for those around . Love makes you and me the beats of one heart , beauty of one creation and breaths of one existance....!!

Do you think emotional temperament of a person can affect his/ her life ?

It doesnt simply affect, but it defines one's life......Being a doctor, I know how amazingly emotions affect both body and mind.....The art of life means experiencing both pleasure and pain, going boldly to their  peaks and depths, but always returning within the threshold.....

What kind of books you like to read ? Which one is your favourite genere ?

I read whatever I get -- fiction, non fiction, academic, non academic, everything......In fact, from childrens' comics to world classics, all are my favourite generes......

How long did it take you to complete writing a book ?

It was comparatively a short duration - about 100 days.....

Being a debutant author, did you face any kind of difficulties with publishing the book ?

It was not a hard job for me....I contacted them directly.....Once I sent the manuscript, they informed me that they are interested to publish it........

Please do tell us something about your future plans. Is your second book is also in pipeline ?

I have some great aims in life and I believe I am on the way......Now I am working on two different manuscripts.....Both are of different genre, two serious themes put in the mould of fiction......One connects the present day society with that of the medieval historic time through a character and series of events and in the other the protagonist is not human, but animal......But it may take more than a year to complete them because they demand a lot of hard work and too I am preparing to join the higher studies.

Tell us about your journey from a doctor and motivational speaker to a passionate writer.

I became socially active because my college life was very boring.....It was hard for me to adjust with after a creative high school life in which most of the times I was singing(even though I am not a singer), dancing, writing and doing something very useful.....I became a motivational speaker ultimately because I was desperate with my college life....I usually gather a lot of energy from negative experiences to conquer them and to rise above them....I am such kind of a person who thinks, "This is what I have gone through...I know how it feel....So I will try my best to save another one suffering from the same...!" When my house surgeoncy began, I was freed from the burden of a boring routine and became active in social media too....My write ups shared gave me readers from all over the world and they inspired me to get published.....I have strong personal relationship with most of my readers.......

What kind of responses are you receiving from your family members and friends ?

Proud family and very proud friends.....The support I am getting from both is immense.....Always remind me that this is the beginning and a long way to go....

What interests you other than writing ?

I am passionate about everything in life.....Studying different subjects, Driving, Gardening, Food, Music, Movies, Guns, Paintings, Working for UNICEF projects ; this list wont end.....

Is there any particular author who has influenced your life ?

Yes, Victor Hugo ! I first read him through a part of his Les Miserables when I was in 7th standard.....Though it was only a small part, how my eyes glowed while reading, absorbing its very beauty....Whichever the book is, his every sentence takes my breath away.....!

Any message you want to pass on for readers of "Read In Park" ?

Read and criticize.....Read and criticize.......Thus churn the nectar from every writer....Read the new comers especially and help us improve....!!

Thank you for all pleasing answers. Wish you a great journey ahead in literary world.

Thank you so much ! :-)
